I never touched my father like that

29
years after my father’s death, I decided to created his silicone
portrait in order to physically feel his presence. Long-term work on
the sculpture became the background for the mental and emotional
transformation that I went through. This project is an attempt to
work through the trauma of my father’s absence.Utilizing film and
photography, I was able to visualise the relationship with my father,
which was just beggining to take shape. The visual representations of
the relationship I could have had with my father emerged as powerful
catalytic images, stirring within me a strange new longing.
